Run It Performance is a cutting edge running back & athlete specific program serviced to help develop serious players, led by former High School/College All-American and NFL Running Back Arlen Harris. Our goal is to educate and train young football players to maximize their full skill levels at being a ball carrier. Coach Harris has the unique experience of having success at every level from youth to his professional playing career. He is now using those same disciplines learned, to master his expertise as a trainer/coach to prepare the next generations of complete running backs across the globe. There are so many different style ball carriers, and with the face of offenses consistently changing on how they utilize their backfield, it is very important to learn from someone who has a strong background in multiple offensive schemes in order to help turn your weaknesses into strengths.

Coach Harris began training athletes and running camps with his older brother Aaron Harris (RB for Penn State, Berlin Thunder) through his high school and college career. During rookie in the National Football League (2003), Coach Harris stepped up and started his own private youth football training academy for all positions (Hard Hats Football) with former teammate Marquis Weeks (RB for UVA, Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos) in Chester County, Pennsylvania where he grew up. After retiring (St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons), Coach Harris moved back to the St. Louis Area to use his professional experience coaching Trinity Catholic High School as RB & Special Teams Coordinator. He then used his performance certification to start the first ever Strength & Conditioning program for one of the top private schools (Christian Brothers College High School) in the Greater St. Louis Area. In 2021, as the Head Varsity Football Coach at Lutheran High, he won a first ever State Championship where he was unanimously name AAA Coach of the Year. Coach Harris is also considered to be one of the best private performance trainers and running back specific coaches available in the country. He customizes programs for various youth/high school sport teams, collegiate/professional athletes both nationally and internationally. Throughout the years Coach Harris has been affiliated with USA Football (Heads Up Ambassador), Nike Youth Coach of the Year Award (Director), Blue-Grey All-American Bowl (North Head Coach), Football University (RB Coach), Under Armour All-American Game, Semper Fi Regional Camp (Chicago), A11 Stars Bowl, Big County Preps (Tampa). Arlen Harris is currently a National Scout for Prep RedZone.
High School:
Arlen Harris is a 1998 Graduate of Downingtown High School in Pennsylvania. During that time, Arlen was a record setting Running Back and Kick Returner who helped lead his team to three Chest-Mont League Championships and two PIAA State Championships, in which he broke Tony Dorsett’s scoring and rushing record as a Junior. In addition, he has won every major award or honor that can be received within his four years as a varsity player and finished his ranking as the #3 running back in the country. (Big 33 MVP, USA Parade All-American, PA Sports Fever District 1 Player of the Year, Ches-Mont League MVP RB/DB, 1st Team All-State (2x), All-Area (2x), 1st Team All-Chestmont RB (3x) DB (2x), SuperPrep, PrepStar, Street & Smith, VFW Purple Heart Award, Maxwell Club Award)
College:
After complications to his commitment to the University of Florida, Arlen redirected his talents to the University of Virginia, where he joined his high school All-American Quarterback and teammate Dan Ellis, both playing in four College Bowl Games. Arlen was ranked as one of the top returners his first two years and saw a lot of action behind 1st Round Draft Pick Thomas Jones as a redshirt freshmen before struggling with injuries in his later years as a Cavalier. After missing his last year of eligibility in college, Arlen still received an invitation to play in the Las Vegas Paradise Bowl where Tony Romo (Cowboys) was his quarterback and he walked away with MVP honors of the game after leading his team to victory for the Mid-West.
Professional:
After a standout combine, pro day, and individual workouts, Arlen was able to follow his dreams to the National Football League. He played in what is considered to be one of the most complex and high powered offenses in NFL history led by Coach Mike Martz. Arlen’s first two seasons with the St. Louis Rams, he was the second leading rusher behind Hall Of Famer Marshall Faulk. And for the first four consecutive seasons, Arlen was coached and became good friends with All-Pro Running Back & Philadelphia Eagles Great, Wilbert Montgomery (currently Baltimore Ravens RB Coach). Arlen then went on to play with some of the best backfields in Detroit with Kevin Jones, then on to Atlanta with Warrick Dunn. Due to a career ending knee injury, Arlen was forced to retire after being credited 6 NFL seasons.
